304 Stainless Steel Long Link Chain

Climbing Taiwan's 304 Stainless Steel Long Link Chain is built to fit multiple carabiners and "thicklinks". Not made for areas near salt-spray.  Manufactured according to DIN 763 standard. What makes DIN 763 standard chain special is the links are not only wider (meaning more items can fit inside), by each link being longer, it means less material (and by extension cost) is used to manufacture 1 meter.

The 304 SS 8 mm is big enough to fit 4 chonky carabiners within one link if that suits your climbing style. 

The factory's standard for DIN763 8mm 316 Stainless Steel Chain is a 900kg WLL (Working Load Limit). On sample test reports for 304SS, yield point averages 3200 kgf and ultimate tensile strength 6000 kgf.  Our internal break testing verify these results.

The factory's standard for DIN763 6mm 304/316 Stainless Steel Chain is a 600kg WLL (Working Load Limit). On sample test reports for 304SS, yield point averages 1900 kgf and ultimate tensile strength 3700 kgf.  Our internal break testing verify these results. It will fit all sizes of quick links up to 8mm (and even high-strength 8mm); 10mm quick links will not fit inside. Here's our test video and discussion.

In December 2025, we changed our chain supplier to a local manufacturer in Taiwan who has been in the business for 75+ years. Their weld-quality and consistency is top-notch, as well as their post weld-processes and cleanliness. Despite being 30% more in cost than our previous supplier, they deliver so much more in quality and value. 

This product is sold "By the Link" as well as "By the Foot". For "By the Foot", ordering a qty of 1 equals 1 total foot of chain, ordering a qty of 2 equals 2 total feet of continuous chain, and so on...

The links are also sold as precuts.
